Angelo Mineo is Full Professor of Statistics at Università degli Studi di Palermo, Italy (since 2005), where he is currently the chair of the Department of Economics, Business and Statistics. He is an expert of Computational Statistics and Statistical Software. His current research topics are: information geometry, penalized inference, graphical models, computational statistics and R statistical software. He is the author of more than 100 publications in established peer-reviewed journals in Statistics and conference presentations. He has published among others in: J Royal. Statistical. Soc. B, Biometrika, Journal of Statistical Software and Statistics and Computing. He is an elected member of the International Statistical Institute, and a member of the Bernoulli Society for Mathematical Statistics and Probability, the International Association for Statistical Computing and the Italian Statistical Society.
