Luigi Augugliaro is Full Professor of Statistics at University of Palermo, Italy. He is an expert of high-dimensional and computational statistics. His current research topics are: information geometry, generalized linear models, penalized inference, graphical models, computational statistics and R statistical software. He is the author of about 50 publications in established peer-reviewed journals in Statistics and has published among others in: J Royal. Statistical. Soc. B, Biometrika, Biostatistics, Journal of Statistical Software and Statistics and Computing. He is an Associate Editor of Statistica Neerlandica. He regularly acts as a referee for major international statistics journals. He is member of the Bernoulli Society for Mathematical Statistics and Probability, Italian Statistical Society and CMStatistics. He is also maintainer of several R packages.
